Parking & Transportation
Free shuttles to Festival sites and to Abingdons Historic District from I-81 Exit 14 (Antiques Market) or Rose's parking lot off I-81, Exit 19 (Wolf Hills Shopping Center). Ample parking available.
First Aid
The Johnston Memorial Hospital will provide a first aid station at the Antiques Market at VHCC Campus, and the Juried Arts and Crafts Show on Remsburg Drive.

Abingdon Medical Museum was established in August of 2010, with the goal of educating and informing the public about the history of medicine. The museum is located in the old Abingdon Ambulance Service building near the former Johnston Memorial Hospital, in the Historic District of Abingdon. It is housed in a 110 years old building which was built by a Civil War veteran. The museum maintains exhibits of medical artifacts from the early nineteenth century up to the present day, and focuses on the history of medicine, especially as it relates to southwest Virginia. Through our exhibits and public events, we hope to provide the general public with a better understanding of medicine, and create a unique educational experience that further enriches the cultural environment of the region.

The Museum of the Middle Appalachians offers a view of the natural and cultural history of the region. Exhibits include the local geology, the Ice Age period, two Civil War Battles, and the life and industry of a Company Town. The Project Mammoth exhibit expansion is completed. It has been four years in development and is now open to the public. All of the previous exhibits have been changed in some way and there are some entirely new exhibits. The Museum has a completely new look and has doubled the exhibit space.

The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC) was established in 1991 to strengthen the economy of southwest Virginia through education and training of the current and future workforce. The William King Museum is a non-profit regional art museum and arts education center housed in a historic 1913 former school. It is the only facility of its kind and Virginia's only nationally accredited museum west of Roanoke. An average of 9 exhibitions are mounted each year, showcasing art of the region and of the world. Programming includes artist talks, lectures, workshops, and other special events. Two additional galleries include the Student Gallery, which displays works from area schools and colleges, and the Panoramic Gallery that features self-curated shows by local artists. An extensive arts education program serves school and public audiences both within and outside of the facility. The Museum also features artist studios, the Looking Glass Museum Store, and an outdoor sculpture garden. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors, students and children are free.
